Our EMULCUT and ISOPAL ranges we provide long-term stable, emulsifiable, multi-purpose metalworking coolants with excellent anti- corrosion properties and high performance. Depending on the selected product, they are suitable for general machining, grinding and heavy-duty operations. Specifically, tailored metalworking fluids with a high ester content are suitable for aluminium alloys, steel, cast iron, titanium alloys and other difficult metals, achieving outstanding surface qualities and tool life. ISOCOOL: these products are long-term stable, mineral oil free, water soluble multi-purpose metalworking fluids for general machining and grinding operations on ferrous and partially non-ferrous metals. ISOGRIND: a range of long-term stable, mineral oil free, water soluble metalworking fluids with excellent wetting and rinsing properties for most technically demanding grinding processes…

DE-COTAC is an additive for breaking down bonders, glues and wet strength additives when pulping, reducing energy consumption, speeding up process time and improving fiber yield. It can be used in tissue and board applications. FEROCLEAN LIME is a lime inhibitor and descale to remove water salts from fan pumps and water circuits. EQUIPMENT is available to support our extensive range of chemical products, with a customized range.

COTAC TAIL TIE GLUE, a product for sealing the loose tail to the roll eliminating wrinkles and jams further downstream and other product quality issues. SAWLUB PAP, a special log saw lubricant is applied to the log saw to reduce heat generated by the friction from cutting the rolls. Also ensures a cleaner cut while reducing rosin and glue build up on the blade. COTAC G are special core glues used to adhere the core laminations providing superior strength and optimal shape of the cores prior to reel up in converting processes. EMBOLUB D is an embossing roll oil used to reduce odor and prevent the build-up of glue and fibers on the embossing and Dandy rolls. SOFTLAYER RANGE of products can be sprayed onto the tissue at the converting process to increase softness and hand feel of the tissue. COTAC PG is a ply bonding glue. It is quick drying to a transparent finish.

The innovative portfolios of COTAC and RELEASE AGENT chemistry support the requirements of technically advanced produaction, provide consistent process data, optimize paper quality and softness while protecting the Yankee cylinder and extending doctor blade life. There are also COTAC products to reduce Yankee edge wear and corrosion, while preventing fiber build up and subsequent reduction in runnability through sheet breaks.

PETROFER also offers an extensive range of other process products for efficient production, reduced maintenance and improved quality of the paper production: from deaerators and defoamers such as ISOFOAM grades, to screen, machine and felt cleaners such as FEROCLEAN RFS. We also offer special microbicides such as FEROCLEAN CS for system preservation.

SOFTLAYER is a portfolio of chemistry to improve softness and hand feel in the finished tissue and towel. There are products for all application techniques such as into the pulper, spraying on the felt or spraying during conversion. There are customized topical softeners available for specialist applications. PETROZYM products are used to enhance tensile strength in the finished sheet, and provide savings in refiner energy.

Often cleaning baths or water-based coolants require additional corrosion prevention performance. The AQUAPLUS, ISOADD and ISOTECT portfolio offers a range of special additives designed to achieve increased corrosion resistance. Some of the products can also be used stand-alone, for example in cooling water circuits or cooling and rust prevention of die-cast components.

PETROFER’s water extendable ISOTECT OW products, when compared to mineral oil, and solvent based corrosion prevention products, pro- vide a high level of operational safety due to their water content. This function is especially desirable when applying rust preventives in areas such as foundries where fire risk should be minimized. They pro- vide excellent internal storage rust prevention.

ISOTECT WSD and OSD product types can rapidly dewater components, and offer a reliable rust prevention that is built following the evaporation of the solvent. Protection films are available in either an oily or slightly waxy type. The different solvent carrier flash points offer the possibility to select the dewatering fluid to suit the working environment. Dewatering fluids can be successfully used on components contaminated with water based cutting fluids or cleaners, and rapidly split off the water phase leaving an excellent preventive film.

The ISOTECT XS range of solvent based rust preventives form thin rust inhibiting films, with the consistency depending on the chemistry type. Following evaporation of the solvent carrier, the residual film normally appears much drier than with rust preventive oils. The evaporation speed correlates to the solvent flash point, while offering a reliable rust prevention. The fast drying, light, almost dry films can easily be removed by our industrial cleaners from the FEROCLEAN range.

ISOTECT OM series rust preventive oils are used for intermediate storage of dry work pieces during and after production. Besides a rapid application speed, and a reliable corrosion resistance they offer further advantages being barium and VOC free (2010/75/EU). Typically, the oils can be easily removed with a product from our FEROCLEAN series.

In addition to the numerous FEROCLEAN products mentioned before, PETROFER offers special cleaners as individual products or as customized system solutions for the entire manufacturing process. There are also a range of additives to customize the process further as required.
